12 days of whatever… day one. 12 Hitlers Hitlering

It’s that time again, and I think the guy who came up with this nonsense has been retired from blogging for more years than he actually wrote his own shit in the first place, we return to robotic year-end nostalgia to talk about what anime things happened to us this year. And of course, the first thing that popped into my head was this.

ABORT MISSION

The greatest gift an episode blogger can get it a series that goes completely off the rails. Guilty Crown barely had any rails to begin with, but we couldn’t look away from the wreckage. After all, it was good-looking wreckage, with pink hair, lots of cleavage, and frankly really rewarding action sequences. It was also the greatest episodic blogging I’ve done thus far. It’s tough to pinpoint an exact moment that makes GC for me, but Shu losing his arm in episode 17 probably sums up my enjoyment of the show’s gleeful torture of its protagonist.

The writing process for Guilty Crown is actually just a fridge full of booze and a dart board covered in terrible things that can happen to Shu. There must have been a big party when someone finally hit “loses limb.”

Beautiful stuff, and I hope that I get to witness something equally beautiful sometime soon.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Like the very next episode the darts hit “Inori” and “turns into Wolverine”.

I truly miss The Adventures of Hitler Jr. and Wolverinori.

I would have gone to that party. I definitely give them props for the unique theme.

I still think that liking Guilty Crown is “getting” anime. Both the people who don’t know any better and the people like us.
